Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Nomadify (“Nomadify,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Nomadify iOS app (bundle ID app.nomadify.ios) and the website at nomadify.app (together, the “Service”).

1. Introduction

Nomadify is a community for travelers — it helps you meet other travelers, join or create real-world activities and meetups, chat in-app, and explore AI-generated activity ideas. Privacy matters on a service like this, so we try to be specific about what we collect and why, and to give you real control. If anything here is unclear, email us at com3run@gmail.com.

By using Nomadify, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information.

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account details: your name and age.
  • Phone number: used for sign-in and verification (we send you a one-time code by SMS).
  • Profile information: bio, interests, languages, and any other fields you choose to fill in.
  • Photos: profile pictures and any images you add to your profile or to activities you create or join.
  • Activities and chat content: the activities you create, join, or comment on, and messages you send through in-app chat.
  • AI prompts and context: when you ask Nomadify to generate activity ideas, the request and any context you provide (e.g. city, interests, budget).
  • Communications with us: support requests, reports, and any other messages you send to com3run@gmail.com.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Approximate location: so we can show you nearby travelers and activities. We use the coarsest location that gets the job done and don't track precise background location.
  • Device information: iOS version, device model, language and region settings, and the time zone of the device.
  • App version you are running.
  • Crash logs and diagnostics when the app misbehaves, so we can fix bugs.
  • Usage analytics: which screens you visit, which features you use, and aggregate performance metrics. We use this to understand how Nomadify is used and to make it better.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Create and manage your account and verify your phone number.
  • Match you with travelers and activities relevant to where you are or where you're going.
  • Deliver in-app chat and let you create and join activities.
  • Generate AI activity ideas when you ask for them.
  • Detect and respond to fraud, scams, abuse, spam, ban evasion, and violations of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.
  • Send service-related communications (verification codes, security alerts, important updates).
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Improve the Service — debug, measure performance, build new features, and prioritise what to work on next.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the limited ways described below.

4.1 With other users

Your profile (name, photo, age range, bio, interests, and general location) and the activities you create or join are visible to other Nomadify members so the Service can do its job — e.g. surfacing you in traveler lists for the city you're in. Anything you type into chats is shared with the other participants of that chat. Don't post anything you wouldn't want a stranger to see.

4.2 With service providers

We share information with trusted vendors that help us run the Service — for example cloud hosting and databases, push notifications, SMS delivery for phone verification, crash reporting, analytics, abuse and spam detection, and the AI provider that powers activity-idea generation. These vendors are bound by contract to use your information only to provide services to us, and to protect it appropriately.

4.3 For legal compliance

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith it is required to comply with a law, regulation, valid legal request (such as a subpoena or court order), or government investigation — or to respond to a national-security or law-enforcement request where required.

4.4 For safety

We may share information to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nomadify, our members, or the public — for example to investigate fraud, prevent imminent harm, or respond to credible threats.

4.5 In a business transfer

If Nomadify is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections and the commitments in this policy.

5. Third-party services

Nomadify uses third-party services to operate the app. These include, among others, cloud infrastructure providers, push notification and SMS providers, an AI provider for generating activity ideas, and analytics and crash-reporting tools. These third parties process information on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices.

The app may link out to third-party websites or services (for example a venue's website surfaced in an activity idea). We don't control those sites and their privacy practices are their own — check theirs separately.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information — including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to reduce the risk.

You play a role too: use a strong device passcode, keep iOS up to date, and don't share verification codes with anyone — including anyone claiming to be from Nomadify. We will never ask for your verification codes or financial information.

7. Your privacy rights and choices

You have meaningful control over your information. Depending on where you live, some rights below may apply specifically under laws such as the European Union's GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA.

7.1 Everyone

  • Access: ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct: edit your profile and settings in-app, or ask us to correct anything we hold.
  • Delete: delete your account in-app or by emailing com3run@gmail.com.
  • Export: request a portable copy of your data.
  • Manage notifications: control push notifications in iOS Settings, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
  • Location: grant or revoke location permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

7.2 GDPR (European Economic Area, UK, Switzerland)

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR, including the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. You can also withdraw consent where we rely on it (this won't affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal), and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal bases for processing are: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service), our legitimate interests (to keep the Service safe and improve it), your consent (where you've given it, e.g. for certain optional features), and compliance with our legal obligations.

7.3 CCPA/CPRA (California)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, the right to access and request a copy, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to limit our use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” (as those terms are defined under CCPA/CPRA) personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, email com3run@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Data retention

We keep your personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy.

  • Account data is kept while your account is active.
  • If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your profile and personal data within 30 days, except where we need to retain limited information for legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.
  • Aggregate or anonymised data (which can't be linked back to you) may be retained indefinitely.
  • Backups roll over on their own schedule; deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for a short period before being overwritten.

9. International data transfers

Nomadify is a global service. The information we collect may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data-protection laws than your own.

When we transfer personal data out of the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards — for example the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK and Swiss equivalents) — so your information continues to receive an adequate level of protection.

10. Children's privacy

Nomadify is intended for users 18 and older. The Service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete the account and the associated data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact com3run@gmail.com and we will act promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when we add new features, change vendors, or to reflect changes in the law. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are material, we'll notify you in the app or by another reasonable method before they take effect.

12. Contact

Questions, requests, complaints, or privacy concerns? Reach us at com3run@gmail.com. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.
